We ended 2023 with a visit from Santa and the children really enjoyed talking to him as they told him of their wish list for Christmas.  It is always so much fun to see the excitement on their faces when Santa enters the room.  I love the innocence of a child!

As we begin 2024, we are looking forward to a year of continued learning, development, and fun.  The teachers are already planning activities and lessons that will advance the growth and development of each child.

This month we will celebrate Martin Luther King Day on January 15th.  We will talk about his accomplishments and the history of this day.  On January 18th we will celebrate our 100th day of school.  This is always a fun time when the children learn about the quantity of 100 objects.

I personally am looking forward to the new year as I turn my focus toward teacher development.  We have an outstanding teaching staff here at MMCD, but I am a firm believer that we should all be life-long learners. It not only betters us as educators, but the children benefit greatly from what we know and put into practice.
