So far, the month of April has started out rainy and cool, but that has not stopped us from enjoying the indoor play time. We are privileged to have two indoor gyms so when the weather is bad outside the children still get an hour of exercise each day.
For the week of April 7-18, we will be celebrating National Library Week. The teachers talk about what it means to go to the library and the activities that they offer. One of the greatest conversations I often hear at the end of the day is when a parent walks out of the building telling their child “Come on, let’s go, we are going to the library”. The local library provides the opportunity for children to check out so many books, movies, and music, not to mention the programs they offer. We will end the week on April 12th by having the children dress like their favorite book character.
We are preparing for Summer Camp 2024 and almost have everything scheduled for a fun summer ahead. We will have several on campus activities that all of the children can enjoy. The Primary classes are scheduled to go on field trips to Lambs Farm and Volo Museum to see the dinosaurs. The summer months pass by quickly as the children enjoy the activities and outside.
In May, we will celebrate teacher appreciation week. I appreciate the teachers here at MMDC and am grateful for their dedication to the children in our care.
