Summer seems to be flying by so fast. It is hard to believe that in a few short days, we will have 14 of our children leaving the program to start kindergarten. It is such a bittersweet time to see them leave. We will miss them because they have been a part of the daycare for a long time. Some of them have been here since they were a few months old. Now they take on a new journey and we are happy for them because we know they are ready. We have done our part to equip them for the possibilities that are ahead. It is exciting to think of their future. We wish them well as they learn and explore not only now, but in the years to come.
We only have a couple of weeks left in summer camp. It has been a fun summer with a lot of activities to keep the children busy. Just today we had a visit from Tropical Chill, and we enjoyed shaved ice. For some of the children, this was their first time for such an experience. As I look back over the past few weeks of summer camp, the children have had a variety of experiences ranging from a foam party, to a reptile show, a pirate bouncy house, a trip to the dinosaur museum, a bubble show, Bollywood dancing, Lambs Farm, water days, bicycle riding, Easter, Christmas, and Halloween in July, an art show, cooking, and other fun activities. That has been a fun-packed summer!
In a few weeks we will start a new academic year for Montessori & Music Daycare Center. We will welcome new children into the program and promote current children into a new classroom. It will be a time of change and growth, and every child will have the opportunity to explore new learning possibilities in our Montessori classrooms.
We love working with children and are grateful to have the opportunity to be a part of their lives.
