The primary program emphasizes development in five key areas: intellectual, physical, emotional, social and creative. Children in the primary program continue developing their motor, interaction and language skills. In addition, they are offered Science, Mathematics, Art, Music and Writing instruction. Our classrooms are designed to meet the ever changing needs of the three to six year old child. Beauty and order play important roles in creating the child size atmosphere which is carefully designed to encourage curiosity and a love for learning. The children eagerly explore the worlds of reading, writing, mathematical calculations, geography, science and art. Older children work solving math problems using the bead bars, mapping or writing stories, and spend as much time as they choose working on these projects. There are also activities for the entire class, such as thematic lessons, storytelling and group sharing.
